About Us
The Foundation Background
The Foundation was first established in1972 as a non-profit,
tax-exempt organization under IRS code section 501 (C) 3. A
volunteer Board of Directors, made up of community members governs
the Foundation, each bringing with them a diverse background. This
varied combination of members is one of the foremost strengths of
the Foundation. Board members serve a three-year term and meet every
month throughout the year. Foundation board members share the
philosophy that by giving a little of what they have; many that are
in need can be helped.

College Background
Highline Community College was founded in 1961. Since its inception,
Highline has had the pleasure of serving more than 500,000 students
through various learning opportunities. The College offers hundreds
of courses on its 80-acre main campus and at several branch campuses
within its district. Highline Community College strives to provide
comprehensive education and opportunities for continuing education
to all community members. We believe, when you attend Highline, you
get more than just a course – you start on the road to your dreams
becoming reality!
